Richard Clegg

Richard Clegg is a Partner of Wolf Theiss working throughout Central & Eastern Europe and South Eastern Europe. He regularly advises clients on the financing and development of significant telecom and technology acquisitions and financings. Richard has extensive expertise in technology and private equity, and has led recent acquisitions and sales in fixed and mobile telecommunications, cable television and global internet services. Richard has particular specialization and expertise across the regulated sectors, and regularly advises companies at Board level on regulatory and compliance matters, often in sensitive circumstances. His career experience includes advising on internationally significant technology, energy and telecom projects and transactions.

Richard also advised or led on transactions in other CEE countries and for CEE-owned groups doing business internationally.

Richard has held senior positions in industry and private equity, as an M&A partner with an industrial and infrastructure fund, and as the Group General Counsel and Group Investment Director of a national telecommunications company. He was educated at University College London, The College of Law and INSEAD and is an English qualified solicitor and Bulgarian registered foreign lawyer.
